about
I’m Elizabeth McKeever, an artist, educator, Guinness World Record holder, and former painting tutor for the film The Notebook. My creative journey began when I moved to Charleston in 1999 after earning my Master’s degree in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. What started with teaching adult painting classes at the Gibbes Museum quickly evolved into a multi-faceted career rooted in storytelling through art.
Under my former business, McKeever Fine Art, I offered a wide range of services, including fine art commissions, large-scale murals for MUSC and Roper Hospital, decorative painting for commercial clients, and live wedding portraits and scenes, capturing the emotion and energy of a couple’s most memorable day with brush and canvas.
Alongside my artistic work, I pursued and earned my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and was recruited by the Larson division of Valmont. There, I led projects across all phases of concealed cell tower fabrication, from estimating and contract writing to managing production and ensuring successful delivery. My role combined analytical precision with creative problem-solving, helping to refine my ability to guide complex, high-impact projects from start to finish.
One of my most unique creative contributions came when the town of Summerville approached me to help break the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Sweet Tea. My part? Designing and painting the massive plastic vat to resemble a giant Mason jar, transforming an industrial container into an iconic visual symbol seen across the country.
Yet through it all, what continues to inspire me is the transformation that happens when people create. That moment when someone lights up—when they discover their own potential, their voice, or their next chapter through art—that’s what brings me joy.
Expression Beth is the next evolution of that belief. Through curated retreats, premium art experiences, commissioned works, and custom-crafted workshops, I help others reconnect with their creativity, express their stories, and embrace the next chapter of their lives with clarity and confidence. I’m still on the journey, and I’m here to help others do the same through art, intention, and transformation.
